All About Colon Hydrotherapy
What is colon hydrotherapy?
Colon hydrotherapy is a safe, effective, gentle infusion of purified water into the rectum, by way of a steril rectal-disposable speculum. The process involves two separate lines—water in, waste out—to prevent any possible contamination. This internal bath helps cleanse the colon of toxins, gas and accumulated fecal matter. The FDA registered Hydro San Plus (closed system) allows waste material to be eliminated through the instrument and out the drain line without odor.

How will I feel after a colonic session?
Like you just took an internal bath; clean, light, increased energy, clarity and a sense of well being are just some of the common responses. V.E. Irons, graduate of Yale University and a leading authority and specialist on colon health states: Dr. Elson Haas on Colon hydrotherapy states: “It helps relieve gas and spasms in the bowel, assists healing digestive problems, and relieves many back and musculoskeletal pains often caused by pressure from the intestines.
Its greatest importance, however, is in eliminating toxins from the colon, in relieving stress on the liver and in improving lymphatic and capillary function. When you begin to improve your diet with more natural and chemical-free foods, and begin to eliminate toxins by cleansing the colon, you will become younger, strong and more beautiful.”
How many bowel movements behind are you?
Let’s think! If you are eating three meals per day, seven days per week, four weeks per month that is 84 meals a month, not including snacks. Now, take that number and subtract the number of bowel movements you are having. (Example: If you are having one bowel movement per day that is 28 per month. 84-28=56 bowel movements behind schedule). You should have two to three bowel movements per day.
What is the difference between Colon Hydrotherapy and an enema?
The enema only reaches the rectum and lower part of the colon. Colon hydrotherapy reaches the entire length of the colon, approximately 5 to 5 ½ feet. According to learned centurion Dr. Norman Walker, one colon hydrotherapy irrigation is equal to 30 enemas.
